Shipdeck

Shipsdeck parquet is one of many variations of traditional parquet.

Parquet, whether herringbone, chevron or whatever pattern decided upon, is laid unfinished on a solid subfloor then subjected to a process of sanding filling, sealing and polishing on site to achieve the classic 'skating rink' parquet floor.

Here is an A/B grade French oak laid in shipsdeck pattern with black walnut inlay strips.
