Pegged

Pegs are useful things in a floor. If you are a fanatic, you can actually use them as fixings. Here they are square and have been used purely for decoration. When cross grained and cut with a plug cutter they are perfect for hiding face fixings.

We still use pegs to repair knot holes the traditional way as opposed to mastic filler which we use as little as possible.
